what a unique festival

A great festival and its atmosphere that I can find elsewhere. Watching many monks and devotees gathered near the Mount Kailash to raise the Saga Dawa Flagpole was wholesome for me. Monks were performing their rituals and practices for the flagpole raising ceremony. The flagpole was beautiful with a combination of many different colourful flags. Completing the kailash kora during this festival is said to be very blessful and auspicious and I was very glad I completed I during this festival.

Apart from all the above, best heritage tour had a perfect and great itinerary for festival tour. We exactly reached the Tarboche when there was flag raising ceremony. Also the guide was just amazing. The accommodation and meals along Saga Dawa Festival tour was great. A highly recommend tour for the saga dawa festival tour.
