Birthplace of Lord Gautama Buddha

I have read a lot about Buddha and Lumbini, but the real spirit came only after reaching there. The moment I stepped into Lumbini, a deep sense of peace warmed my heart. The birthplace of Buddha is not only historically important, it is a beautiful, peaceful and very spiritually energetic place.

In this journey, I had the opportunity to experience firsthand the life of the Buddha, his teachings, and the depths of Buddhism. When I visited international monasteries in different countries of the world, I was surprised to see that everyone was showing devotion and respect to The Buddha in their own way. The unique architecture, calm environment and devotional soul touched my heart deeply. But the main attraction of our journey was at the footsteps of Buddha inside the Mayadevi temple. According to our guide, these are the steps when Buddha was in the womb of his mother Maya Devi. Looking at those ancient stages, time seemed freeze for a moments. I have never experienced such deep history and spirituality before.
