a different trekking experience in Nepal

The upper mustang trek felt like trekking into an ancient and hidden world. Unlike other trekking route in Nepal which were generally covered with green mountains, this trekking was completely different. Upper mustang was a high- altitude desert with no or less greenery, where strong winds and dusty paths tested my patience.

Even though the path was a little bit rough but exploring the Tibetan influenced villages, centuries old monasteries and ancient caves carved into the mountains in the way made totally worth it. Reaching the Lo Manthang (3840m) known as the lost kingdom of Nepal was a highlight for me. The whole village was surrounded by the stone walls and the houses were painted white. Waking around the village and exploring it felt like exploring the ancient village. Overall for me this trek was a completely different than any other classic trek and Best Heritage Tour did great job while arranging this amazing trek.
