Such a thrilling views

I booked the mad honey hunting tour in Nepal and it was an adventurous tour of my life. From jeep drive in rugged terrain and trekking in the beautiful mountains to watching the mad honey hunters collecting the honey from the high cliff, everything was adventurous for me. I had heard about mad honey and mad honey hunting tradition and I really wants to see that thrilling tradition with my own eyes. Our guide Sadan Gurung was very knowledgeable and social. He made sure that we are comfortable with the mountains and trail. He choose the perfect viewing spot for us to sit and watch the local people harvesting the mad honey from the high cliff.

Watching them cutting the bee hive with the help of just ladder made from the local grass and the long wooden spatula was very thrilling. The most magical moment for me from this tour was eating the fresh mad honey with the hive. It was such a unique flavour which I had never experienced. Later I also tasted honey only and I felt a little itchiness in my throat and some tingling sensation in my head. I got worried about my health but my guide and local said that it was normal for someone who are having mad honey first time. I bought some honey from the local hunters to bring it back to my home. Altogether it was a wonderful experience that I can’t find elsewhere except in Nepal. Highly suggested to anyone who wants to experience the honey hunting tradition and taste the pure mad honey which you can’t find in other places and country.
