Trekking Through the Hidden Valleys
By: Bernardi Markus
The Nar Phu Valley trek was one of the most incredible and adventurous trek I’ve done in Nepal and I had to thank Best Heritage Tour for organizing it perfectly. My guide, Milan Buda, was fantastic. His knowledge and friendly nature made the journey even more special.
When I reached Koto, I found myself in the villages of a Himalayas, Chortens and Tibetan-style. The Phu village was a wonderful village with a stone built house, ancient monasteries and amazing scenes of Himalung Himal. Milan introduced me to some locals and even pointed to grazing the blue sheep on the mountains. From Phu, the route to the Nar village took me through the roaring rivers, high -height pastures and suspension bridges. The Nar village much livelier with colorful prayer flags and great hospitality. The most difficult part came forward which was crossing the Kang La Pass. The climb was difficult but the prize was breathtaking panoramic view of Annapurna and Tilicho Peak. For me this trek was an ideal mix of adventure, culture and peace. If you are looking for a raw Himalayas experience, then the Nar Phu Valley Trek should be one!
