A dream came true with Best Heritage Tour team

Since I was a child, I always dreamed of seeing Everest with my own eyes. Trekking through the Gokyo Lake route was even better than I imagined. The lakes, snow-capped Himalayas and the Sherpa people were amazing. Best Heritage Tour took care of everything so the trip was smooth and worry free.

One of my favorite moments was Gokyo Ri at sunrise. Standing there surrounded by some of the highest mountains in the world I felt like I was on top of the world. Our guide Madhu Dhamala was great. He knew so much about the area and kept us safe every step of the way. After long days of trekking I loved to relax in a teahouse with a hot plate of Ridhok, a simple but delicious Sherpa dish. The soft chewy texture and rich yak butter flavor gave me energy for the next day’s trek.
