Mountains, Monasteries and Memories

I wanted to do something different and I chose the Gokyo Lake trek. This trek did not disappoint me. The views were outstanding at the every moment along the trek. The trek was well-organized by Best Heritage Tour from starting to end. They provided Wangchu Sherpa as our guide. He was experienced, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Along the trek he told us great stories about Sherpa culture and the Himalayas.
This trek created many unforgettable memories for me. The most unique and memorable for me was visiting a small monastery in Pangboche. The monastery was considered one of the oldest in the region. While visiting the monastery, we received a blessing from a monk. It was the first time I had ever received a blessing from a monk, which made it even more remarkable for me personally. It also gave me peaceful and spiritual experience. The mix of adventure, nature and cultural engagement made this trek so much more meaningful.
