After breakfast, our guide will pick you up for a scenic drive southeast from Kathmandu, crossing the Bagmati River and heading towards the cooler area of Godavari. After a short tea break, we’ll start our hike through lush forests filled with rhododendrons, oak trees, and diverse bird species.
The hike to Phulchowki’s summit takes 4 to 5 hours, offering stunning views from Annapurna in the west to Mount Tseringma in the east. We’ll enjoy a packed lunch at the top, with options for tea and snacks from a small canteen.
Phulchowki is home to nearly 300 bird species, including the Spring Babbler, Himalayan Cutia, and Mountain Hawk Eagle. After a rewarding day of birdwatching, we’ll return to the roadhead and drive back to your hotel, ending a wonderful day of exploration.
