Boating and River Fishing
Many people enjoy boating on the rivers around Bardia, which gives you a completely different perspective of the forest than walking. The animals barely notice the boat and you can observe their natural behaviour. However, boating is expensive and there is also a chance of encountering a crocodile in the water.
River fishing is one of the main recreational activities in Bardia, where fishermen can catch gold mahseer and goonch. It is important to get permission before fishing and to release all fish back into the river. Fishing equipment can be rented for $10 a day.
